The Guide To Great Pick Up Lines
Many men have this fascination with using romantic pick up lines to hook up with women. I’m pretty sure that you have many stories to tell about them. But despite being old and used, why do men still use them? Do they still work?
Do You Want To Use Great Pick Up Lines?
Here are some examples of commonly-used pick up lines:
“Am I dead, Angel? Cause this must be heaven!”
“You must be in a wrong place – the Miss Universe contest is over there.”
“Are you a magnet, because I’m so attracted to you… “
Great pick up lines is sure to get a smile or two from a girl, that is if you are good at using them. The good thing is that it doesn’t not involve much brain work. If you can get away with it, why not use it right?
The problem though is, not all men understand or practice the word finesse. Majority of men have this idea that the use of pick up lines makes them sound witty and intelligent. Women on the other hand are fed up with hearing the same BS over and over again. It sounds rehearsed and insincere.
Even if you dish out a wonderful set of flowery words, women would still see it as common and cheap. Sometimes, even great pick up lines create an impression that all you want to do is to get her laid and this turns women off because it makes them feel cheap and easy. The whole process of attracting or getting a woman’s attention involves simple but well-planned steps.
Another approach in attracting girls is to make them see that you have a high social value. If they perceive you as someone they can rely on and someone who stands out and delivers when a situation arises, hooking up with them becomes easier. Women are more interested in men that would stay longer with them and not just through the night. This impression is what you need to establish.
If you are wondering as to what to say to a girl, chill for a bit and observe her. What is she wearing? What kind of book is she reading? Do you like the way she ties her hair? You need to gather information so that you can come up with a good opener. For example:
“I really like that color/dress/necklace on you. I’d love to know where you bought it because I need to pick up a birthday gift for my friend Jen. I bet she’d love something like that.”
Other openers that work are topics about relationships. For example:
“You girls look like experts…let me ask you a quick question. How long do you need to be dating a guy before you change the status on your Facebook page from “single” to “in a relationship”? Because my friend Jen has been with a guy for about a month, and his Facebook page still says “single”…and she’s not sure whether she should say something about it.”
Openers are different from pick up lines and offers a more mature approach when talking to girl. Also, this is a good excuse in giving her a compliment.
But never follow up an opener with flirting. It must be fun and flow naturally.
But with all things said, I’m not totally ruling out the capacity of a pick up line working. What I am trying to stress is, unless you’re a natural Casanova, even great pick up lines don’t work 90% of the time.
